Hotel information:
The hotel is near ring road nr. 1 and was built as a hotel about 10 years ago. Hotel guests are served breakfast in the breakfast room, which seats up to 60, while dinner is served in the splendid Ströndin restaurant in Víkurskáli, only 200 meters from the hotel, with breathtaking views of the ocean and the Reynisdrangar rock pillars, the tallest of which is 66m high. The Ströndin restaurant seats up to 80.

The hotel is located in the spectacular surroundings of Vík í Mýrdal, famed for its varied birdlife. Just East of the village is one of Europe's largest nesting colonies of the arctic tern, while Mt. Reynisfjall and Dyrhólaey (16 km southwest of Vík) abound with seabirds such as the fulmar, puffin and various species of auk. A six hole golf course is just a five minutes walk from the hotel.
